William “Bill” Garnett Wolfe, age 73, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. 


He was born February 22, 1944 in Hiltons, Va., a son of the late Garnett and Verna Osborne Wolfe. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and then worked until retirement at the telephone company. He enjoyed car shows and  traveling on his motorcycle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Annette Wolfe.


Survivors include his brother, Jim Wolfe and wife Thelma; nephew, Eugene Wolfe and wife Teresa; niece, Sandra Carter and husband Craig; grand nephew, Philip Wolfe and wife Beth, their children, Macy and Paige; grand niece, Rachel Gross and husband Isaac, their daughter, Abbey; grand niece, Cassie Carter and fiancé Jack Martin; grand nephew Donovan Carter; special friend Jeannie Cox; and many other special friends.


The funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Tim Hall officiating and military honors conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at 4:15 p.m. at Jett -Wolfe Cemetery in Hiltons, VA.
