Will “Lions” Chambliss, age 72, of Blountville, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

He was born October 29, 1946 in Nashville, Tenn., a son of the late Gid and Myrtle Campbell Chambliss. Lions lived most of his life in the Blountville area. He was an employee of the Sullivan County Highway Department with over 23 years of service. Lions was a member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his brother, William Pete Chambliss; sister, Connie Bussey and “Bubby”; grandsons, Jonathan Kitzmiller and wife Julie; nephew, Jason Chambliss; and additional family, Debra and Kurstin Crawford, Kaitlyn, Hunner, Jesse, Jaligh Mitchell, and Bobby Trivette.

The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:45 p.m. prior to the service. The interment will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at East Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends are requested to meet at Weaver Funeral Home by 1:15 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
