Timothy Lee Chapman, Sr., age 66, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born February 5, 1954 in Bristol, Tenn., a son of the late Landon Lee and Ruby Wilson Chapman. Tim was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and retired from Seaman Corporation. He attended Full Gospel Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Kantor and Joyce Jordan.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Nancy Chapman; daughter, Adrian Padgett and husband Billy; son, Timothy L. Chapman, Jr. and wife Jessi; grandchildren, Emma Padgett, Evie Chapman, Dominic Chapman, Christian Chapman and Ella Chapman; brothers, Ernie Chapman and wife Linda, Landon Chapman and wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Chapman will be held 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.T. Taylor and Pastor Travis Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:45 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service and interment will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Full Gospel Fellowship, 94 Ridgecrest Rd, Bristol, TN 37620, Realife Church, 1317 Weaver Pike, Bristol, TN 37620 and Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church, 104 Cypress St, Bristol, TN 37620.

Chapman family sorry to hear about Timothy. He was a good man always joking. He had been in a lot of pain over the last couple of years. Our prayers will be with you.

Nancy, to your entire family Judy and I want to give you all our sincere condolences on Tim’s passing on to a better place where he will have no pain. He was a good man and a great friend to many people. I was talking to Joey the other day about all the great times and fun we had playing golf with Tim. It hasn’t been the same without him, he made the game fun and it will never be the same without him. He would do anything he could for somebody and he will be missed by many. If you ever need anything please call us, you are family to us, I’ve known Tim my whole life and you since you started dating. God has brought home a fine man!
