Tamberline “Tam” Y. Moore, age 87, of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. 

 

He was born September 9, 1930 in Bristol, Tenn., a son of the late Fuller and Vallie Stewart Moore. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Tam was a truck driver for Valleydale and Brisblock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Doug Moore; and five siblings.

 

He is survived by wife of 61 years, Hiley Shaver Moore; children, Phyllis “Susie” Nesmith, Donna Stinnett and husband Mike, David Moore and wife Patty, and Randy Moore; special granddaughter, Sheena Cartwright; special grandson, Jimmy Powers; ten other grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and brother, Hugh Moore.

 

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Eastern Heights Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Chapman officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Weaver Funeral Home.
