Ruby Lee Dakin, age 99, was nothing short of legendary. She participated in many amazing things throughout her long life, such as marching for her right to vote, seeing all of WW2, and experiencing all the great worldwide depression.

There are a few things to note about this amazing woman, such as the fact that she never slowed down or even gave up on anything. She fought the good fight right up until the end and she was the most stubborn thing you have ever seen.

She had many friends throughout her life and all her experience gave her the feeling she always knew best, and she would make sure you knew that too. She was very persistent and always found a way to get her way. I think we could all learn a few lessons from this fighter of a woman that wouldn’t take no for an answer. Ruby was the oldest member of Victory Baptist Church.

Her service will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at 6:00pm at Weaver Funeral Home. She was survived by Chancelor Dakin, Kim Dakin, Eric Dakin, Joyce Dakin, and Kathryn Dakin.
