Reba June Ward, 86, of Jonesborough went to be with our Lord and Savior after an extended illness on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  She was born a daughter to the late Conley and Mary Simerly Carlyle.  She was a former employee of Sperry, Raytheon, and she retired from ITT North Electric.  Reba was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.  She was a wonderful mother to her children, and will be dearly missed by all of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Carlyle.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Ward of 40 years of Jonesborough.

Survivors include her children Debbie Hicks Moffitt of Conway, SC, Susan Hicks Chandler of Kingsport, Teresa Stout (Ron) of Piney Flats, Rick Hicks (Regina) of Bluff City and Dawn Norton (Stephen) of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Johnny Chandler and wife Alyse, Amanda Chandler, Sarah Harold and husband Chad, Leah Shipley and husband Cody, Hannah Moffitt, Jeremy Waldron Moffitt and wife Sarah, Sierra Norton; great grandchildren, Ella Shipley and Brayden Harold; brother, Paul Carlyle; sister-in-law, Ella Grace Carlyle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, April 30, 2021 in Weavers Cemetery, 132 Peoples Rd, Bristol, TN with Rev. Scott Price officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Weaver Cemetery Association, c/o Marvin Melvin, 239 Collins Lane, Bluff City, TN 37618.

The family would like to send their appreciation to the ICU staff at Franklin Woods Hospital and the many doctors caring for our mother.
