Orville “Bo” Trivette, age 80, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 15, 1939 in Lynchburg, Va., a son of the late Orville Preston Trivette, Sr. and Goldie Offield Trivette. Bo was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Reserves. He was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. Bo retired from Overnite Transportation with over 32 years of service. He was a member of Holston Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step son, Craig Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Hazel Baines Trivette; sons, Rick Trivette and Chris Trivette and wife Selena; step son, Randy Terry; sisters, Elizabeth Taylor and husband Alvin, Hazel Wane Carrier and husband Billy, Audrey Woods and husband Buddy, Becky Lowe and husband Hal; brother, Johnny Trivette and wife Linda; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Barron and Rev. Randall Terry officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
Due to the inclement weather the committal service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Cold Spring Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be David Denton, grandsons and men of Holston Baptist Church.
