John Martin Potter, age 95, of Bristol, TN passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.  He was born October 23, 1925 in Ash County, NC, a son of the late Ira Franklin and Bertha Vivian Farmer Potter, and he lived most of his life in the Bristol area.  He was retired from the Sullivan County Highway Department, a member of the Zollicoffer Lodge, and was of the Baptist faith.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Moore Potter; son, Daniel Potter; five brothers and sisters.  Surviving include his daughter, Dian Potter Jackson; grandchildren, Karen Potter Naylor and husband Rob, Kevin Jackson and wife Christy, Heather Potter Burr and husband E.G., and T.J. Jackson; great grandchildren, Sydney Jackson, Peyton Burr, Tanner Jackson, and Titus Jackson; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 12 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 in Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Keith Williams officiating.
