Joe E. Romans, Sr., age 78, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1942 in Radford, Va., a son of the late Muncy and Dorothy Nipper Romans. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Joe retired from Reynolds Aluminum (Ball). He was a member of the American Legion where he served as commander and also a member of the VFW. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Butch Romans and James Romans.
Survivors include his children, Pam Romans, Joe Romans, Jr. and wife Erika, Brian Romans and wife Tracy, Roger Romans and Trinity, and Tabitha Romans; special step daughter, Cheri Shaine; grandchildren, Amanda Doss and husband David, Britney, Kaley and Brayden Romans, Chandler and Ella Romans, Carter and Keaton Romans; great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Teagan Doss; sister, Sandy Watson and husband Rick, Debbie Blevins and husband Johnny; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no services held at this time. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
