Jason Allen Hearl, age 27, of Bristol, VA/Piney Flats, TN joined God’s Heavenly Army on September 14 , 2018 after an 8 year battle following an aneurism caused by an AVM rupture on the brain in 2010.
This courageous, kind, and honorable young man was formerly a fulltime college student, a volunteer fire fighter for Washington County Virginia and an employee of Food City.
Jason is survived by his loving parents Therese and Dave Harvey of Piney Flats, Allen and Alisa Hearl of Blountville; his sister Jessica, her husband Andrew Belcher and his beautiful nieces Gracelynn and Wrigley Belcher; his stepbrother Tyler Harvey; step sister Denise Rex and family; step sister Beth Nessler and family; step brother Todd Harvey and family; step brothers Austin, Dillon, and Cody Faver. Also, his devoted grandparents David and Virginia Tester “ Nina and Pepaw”; along with many special uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Weaver Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Fellowship Chapel, 201 Crockett St., Bristol, VA with Pastor Scott Price officiating. The entombment will follow in the Glenwood Mausoleum.
Pallbearers include David Tester Jr., David Tester III, John Tester, Daniel Tester, Andrew Belcher and Tyler Harvey.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the care and love provided by the staff of the SICU at the Bristol Regional Medical Center, and to the few shining stars at Select Specialty Hospital. Also, the family would like to express their gratitude to Brianna Fillers for her continued dedication and love for Jason over the last 8 years.
