Jack Ringley, age 95, of Bristol, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Wellmont Hospice House.


Jack was born August 7, 1922 to the late John W. and Nora Ringley.  In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Eula, and his five brothers and one sister.  


Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Cusumano of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, special nephew, Douglas Snead, wife Ginger and daughter Pennie Shumaker, and a number of nephews and nieces.  Special appreciation is extended to Sharon Morrison and Larry Greer, close family friends whose unwavering support has been invaluable.


Jack was a lifelong resident of Bristol, Tennessee, a member of First Baptist Church of Bristol for 83 years, and a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific.  Jack’s career in sales spanned over 50 years.  He and his beloved wife, Eula, enjoyed an active life for many years at their winter home in West Palm Beach, Florida.


Jack was devoted and loving husband for 69 years and was an incredibly dear, precious, and loving father to his daughter, Phyllis.  He was a caring and giving friend to all who crossed his path.  Jack’s kind, gentle, and good humored presence will be missed so very much by his family and friends.


Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 with the Reverend Ben Ondrak officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 prior to the service.  The interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Larry Snead, Clinton Snead, Andy Shumaker, Drew Shumaker, and Ernie Sprouse. Honorary pallbearers include Douglas Snead, Larry Greer, Bruce Johnston, and Dean Cloyd.
