Goldie Ann McCroskey, age 81, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born January 2, 1940 in Washington County, Va., a daughter of the late Oscar J. and Zelda Harmon Widner. Goldie was a former employee of Walmart where she worked in the jewelry department. She was a member of Scenic Park Baptist Church. Goldie loved working outside in her flowers and yard and watching Braves Baseball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Deborah McKinney Begley; and siblings, Earl Leonard Widner, Erma Louise Pancoast, Paul Harmon Widner, Georgia May Saracino, Ruth Jane Cox, J.D. Widner, Oscar Junior Widner, Sylvia “Marie” Smith, Charles Kenneth Widner, Mildred Irene Hollister and infant brother.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Richard L. McCroskey; daughters, Lisa Mink and husband Jeff, Teresa Beverly and husband John; grandchildren, Justin Beverly, Brad Beverly, Travis McKinney and wife Emily, Allison Beverly Osborne and husband Greg, Desiree McKinney Russell and husband José, Tyler Mink and wife Rhegan, and Hannah Mink Mutter and husband Justin; great grandchildren, Kai, Lorelai and Ryker Osborne, Adalynn and Jack McKinney, Abigail Mutter and baby Mink due in September; and siblings, Carolyn June Buschman, Mary Elizabeth Ashley, Joyce Earlene Wood, Larry Allen Widner, and James Monroe Widner.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Scott Price officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Mink, Tyler Mink, Justin Mutter, Travis McKinney, José Russell, Greg Lane and Joe Mink. The family would like to extend a special thanks to MSA Hospice Nurses and Staff for their love and care.
