Freddie Wayne Ball, age 87, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Ballad Health Hospice House. He was born August 30, 1933 in Bristol, Tenn., a son of the late Giles C. and Lena Musick Ball. Freddie was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Virginia Avenue Methodist Church and a member of the Shelby Masonic Lodge #0162 and Jericho Temple. Freddie owned and operated Parkway Music Shop, Parkway Furniture Store, and Parkway Antique and Coin Shop for more than 20 years on the Volunteer Parkway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Della Mae Townsend Ball; daughter, Gloria Dawn Ball; and brothers, Jackie Kenneth Ball, Bob Ball and Harry Neal Ball.
Survivors include his son, Freddie Wayne Ball, Jr.; daughter, Patsy Ball Frye and husband Don; grandson, Freddie Wayne “Trey” Ball, III; great grandson, Ethan Lane Ball; great granddaughter, Charlotte Mae Ball; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Shelby Hills Cemetery Pastor Jim Cumbow, Pastor Doug Shoe and Pastor Bill Crosswhite officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Tennessee National Guard Honor Guard.
