On January 23, 2021, David Booher, 73, was called up to glory to be by the side of his beloved wife. David was a lifelong resident of the Benhams community where he operated a sawmill for 30 years. After retiring from the sawmill, David got to spend a lot of time doing what he loved so much, farming and cutting wood with his brother and best friend, Lynn. David was a devoted member of Benhams Baptist Church, and was actively involved in the Bible printing ministry. If you knew David you knew he was the kindest soul, and was the one person that you could count on for anything. He always had a smile on his face and would do anything to make sure you had one on yours, whether it was from telling a funny farming story to using one of his made-up words that nobody knew. He was truly one of a kind.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Denny” and Lillie Clark Booher; his wife, Evelyn Booher; and brothers, Harold Booher and Jimmy Joe Booher.
Survivors include his children, Tami Teaster, Brian Booher, daughter-in-law, Amanda Booher, Stacy Wilson and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Kiley Teaster, Madison Browning, Georgia and Elijah Booher, Keeley Mays, Denver Wilson; great grandchildren, Logan and Sophie Elliott, Clay and Aaron Tolbert, Stella and Nikki Browning, and Eloise Mays; several sisters and one brother; several nieces and nephews.
