David “Dal” Booker, age 89, of Blountville, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at his residence.
David was born May 30, 1932 in Sullivan County, TN, a son of the late John David and Roselie Crawford Booker. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County where he had worked for many years at Housers Salvage Yard. Mr. Booker was a member of The Bridge church, in Bristol. He was especially fond of his cat, “Lil Beth.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy “Chubboy” Booker, two infant great granddaughters, three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Dalton and fiancé James Ramey, Vivian Graham and husband Jim, Pamela Nunley and husband Jeff, and Kawana Barbour and husband Rusty; sons, David Booker, Jr. and wife Angie, and Jeffrey Booker and wife Mary; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Johnson; brother, Reeser “Beach” Booker; special daughter-in-law, Marcie Booker and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Booker will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. Pallbearers will be Mr. Booker’s grandsons, Brian, Chris, Dusty, Jimmy, Lil Dave, Danny, and Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Booker, Joey Long, Jim Long, John Long, Todd Rhoten and Garland Worley. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Weaver Funeral Home.
