Constance “Connie” Ann Hatcher, age 72, of Bristol, TN passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 17, 1948 in Johnson City, TN, a daughter of the late James Howard Townsend and Edith Mae Canter Boyd, and she was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. Connie was a member of Central Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Breanna “Annie” Nicole Eller Hatcher; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Kathy Hatcher; and brother-in-law, Randy Bowers. Survivors include her loving husband, Deward Hatcher; son, Richard “Rick” Fisher and wife Denise; daughter, Connie Sue Johnson and husband Robby; grandsons, Tyler and Dominic Johnson; sisters-in-law, Catherine Hatcher and Margaret Barnett; brother-in-law, James Hatcher and wife Betty; sisters, Brenda Bowers, Cynthia Norris and husband Dr. Burl Norris, Jr.; brother, Jimmy Townsend and wife Brenda; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 7:30 pm Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Mark Overton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be 11:00 am Thursday in Eastern Heights Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Connie’s passing. I have always loved her from the moment I met her. She was like a 2nd mom to me. We couldn’t have asked for any better neighbors than her and Deward. Connie was a wonderful person and will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. May God be with you and carry you through this.

I’m am so sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I loved her and I love you all. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. A therapist asked if we were family I said yes not by blood by love and she said yes we are family said that my mom was her best friend and she watched me grow up. Now she can be with her best friend and her precious granddaughter and all of her loved ones who have passed before her we will all miss her but be glad to know she is brand new no more pain or suffering.May God bless you all and give you the comfort you need during this difficult time.
