Clifford Lee Duckett, born on May 2, 1933 passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was a life-long resident of Bristol, devoted member of Fellowship Chapel Church for over 62 years and loyal employee of Valleydale Meat Packers for 43 years. Clifford was a lifetime member of Washington County and Goodson-Kinderhook Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed farming alongside his family, fishing and spending time outdoors. He often said that hard work made the man and he was truly a giant among men, even in his small stature.
He built a life and legacy with his precious sweetheart, Trula over sixty-six years of marriage. Together they instilled the importance of faith, family and hard work in their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Trula Boothe Duckett; “His girls”, Loretta Ketron, Sandra and husband, Tommy Alderson; “His Twin Boys”, Clifton “Leon” (wife Sharon Blaylock) Duckett and Clifford Michael “Mike” (Karen Bolling) Duckett. The apples of his eyes, his seven grandchildren, Brandi Ketron McCracken, Brittany Ketron Sullivan, Megan Duckett, Derek Duckett, Adam Alderson, Morgan Duckett McReynolds, and Deven Duckett. His 12 great-grandchildren and in his later years, highlights of his life-Twins Leanna and Elanna McCracken, Drew Autry, Gage Presley, Kase Presley, Audreanna McCracken, Lucas Duckett, Kensington Sullivan, Weston Duckett, LynnLee Alderson, Barrett McReynolds, Boone Duckett. 2 step-great grandchildren, Destinee McCracken Kolonis and Dustin McCracken. Brother, Don Duckett.
Clifford was proceeded in Death by his parents, Bill A. and Anna Fields Duckett and brothers, Roosevelt, Billy Jean and Wayne Duckett. Special friend and son-in-law, Darrell Ketron.
The funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 at Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derek Duckett, Adam Alderson, Deven Duckett, Drew Autry, Gage Presley, Kase Presley, Lucas Duckett, Dustin McCracken, Brad Duckett, and Glen Duckett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Alderson, Weston Duckett, Barrett McReynolds, Boone Duckett, Goodson-Kinderhook Fire Department, Fellowship Chapel Senior Sunday School Class. Clifford was a man that I had much respect for. He was a leader in the community through his service with the Fire Department. We shall miss him! Our prayers for you Trula and the family!
