Chris Ewing Rutledge, age 83, of Blountville, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Bristol, TN on May 17, 1937.  He retired from J.A. Street and Associates, and he attended Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church.  Mr. Rutledge was a U.S. Army Veteran, and was a member of the Mason Zollicoffer Lodge #444.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Gilbert (Gib) Rutledge; one brother, Don Rutledge; three sisters, Evelyn Fields, Peggy Guffy, and Carol Ann Campbell.  Surviving include his wife of 63 years, Bobbie Rutledge; daughter, Terri Miller and husband Jim; son, Chris Rutledge II and wife Karen; sisters, Jennell Gross and husband Clayton, Annette Chase and husband Michael; grandchildren, Justin Miller and wife Megan, Tyler Miller, Colt Rutledge, J.W. Keegan Rutledge, Brittney Rogers and James Rogers; great grandchildren, Adalynn and Eleanor Miller, Luke and Olly Rogers; several nieces and nephews.

The committal service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Gary Rowlette officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard and the Army National Guard.  A masonic service will be held by the Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge.
