Charles Robert “Bob” Faust, age 78, of Bristol, Virginia passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Carrington Place in Rural Retreat, VA from Alzheimers.  He was born March 23, 1940 in Bristol, VA, a son of the late Charles “Jake” and Bonnie Cannon Faust., Bob was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Gregory “Greg” Faust; niece, Candy Dover, sister-in-law, Vearl Faust; brother-in-law, Richard Willis.


He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Hardwick Faust; son, Charles Baron Faust; two very precious granddaughters, Chasity St. Claire Faust and Daelyn Jade Faust; sister, Peggy Willis; brothers, Elmer Faust, Bill Faust and wife Diane, Jack Faust and wife Lisa; several nieces and nephews.


After his service in the United States Navy, Bob’s life work was in structural steel as a draftsman, checker, estimator, and salesman.  He was a longtime member of the Washington County Life Saving Crew.


Our family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Carrington Place for their love and care given to Bob; to the Wythe Hospice of Southwest Virginia; and to the American Legion Post 229 of Rural Retreat.


The graveside service for Mr. Faust will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Scott Price officiating.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Bristol VFW – Post 6975 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Weaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, do something nice to help a family with this distressing disease.
