Dear Lois, David, Misty, Sheila, and grandchildren,
We offer our heartfelt condolences. Doug was a good friend, and mentor to many. His influence will live on through the legacy he has left with his children, grandchildren, and the countless boys that he taught in Royal Rangers. He was also a wonderful musician! NO ONE could play an organ like Doug! Please know that you will be in our sincerest prayers in the days and months ahead. Remember, Jesus said he would never leave us or forsake us, and he is as close as the mention of his name. We love you all.

So sorry for your loss. What a dear friend and neighbor Doug was ! He mowed our lawn before we ever moved in. We would go back and forth with treats – each time we took something to you, you’d fill the container with another treat to give back to us. Wonderful sing-alongs in your living room. How many instruments could he play ? Eight or nine ? And beautiful carvings !! Remembering bus trip for lunch, when the bus broke down on the way home. And your nine-o’clock bloomers, which we were always invited to view and share with you.
We love you, Lois, and please call us if you need ANYTHING or just want to talk.
Much love and deepest condolences from Walter and Sally.
Lois and family, we are so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing, and hope your memories comfort you and bring you peace.
