Thomas Alvin Smith

Thomas Alvin Smith, age 57, of Blountville, Tenn., passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. 

He was born August 22, 1960 in Piney Flats, Tenn. Thomas was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. He worked for Safelite Auto Glass for 25 years. Thomas was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Smith.


He is survived by his wife, Jeanna Hale Smith; son, Eddie Smith and wife Amber; daughter, Mackenzie Bingham and husband Chris; mother, Ruby Lynn Smith; brothers, Jeffrey, Wayne, Ricky, Jimmy, Johnny, and Billy Smith; sisters, Sheila Clark, Lois Cross and Mary Quillen; and several nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be private.

To my friend Jeanna and also Mackenzie,and to my son Eddie-and all Tommys brothers and sisters and to Ruby, I am so very sorry. I love Tommy and my heart is just broke. The is such a sadness in me. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we will meet again in Heaven. My prayers are with you all.

Jeanna, Mackenzie and Eddie, I am so sorry about Tommy. My heart breaks for you. Tommy had the biggest heart and always tried to help out anytime he could. I know he loved each and every one of you very much.
Tommy was one of a kind and he will be missed.
