Nannie Houser Branch

Nannie Houser Branch, age 86, of Bristol, Va., stepped from this life to eternity on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Cambridge House. 


She was born October 1, 1931 in Bristol, Va., a daughter of the late Alfred J. and Arlie L. Shaffer Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Branch, Sr. and first husband, Ralph Houser; step sons, Jack H. Branch, Jr. and Randy Branch; three sisters, Hazel Smith Leonard, Gracie Peters and Bertha Harr; and brother, Gene Smith.


She is survived by her step children, John “Bobby” Branch and wife Karen, James “Stevie” Branch, and Susan Dillard; grandchildren, John “Robbie” Branch and wife Sara, Stephanie Ray and husband Shane, Justin Branch and wife Melinda, D.J. Mathes, Misty Branch Musick and husband Jamie, Thad Branch, and Mackenzie Reynolds; great grandchildren, Alex Branch, Collin Branch, Mercedes Edwards, Brayden Ray, Lakyn Ray, Keygan Ray, Julia Stevens and Jonathan Branch; nieces and nephews, Penny Leonard Dell, Judy Leonard Minor, Jone Leonard Bear, James “Junior” Leonard and Lewis Leonard.


The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1 p.m. prior to the service. Private interment will be in Mary’s Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Cambridge House. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain View Ministries, 127 Old Jonesboro Rd, Bristol, TN 37620.

Our sweet Nannie. How you will be missed. You were so happy to see Santa Claus at Christmas. The joy when your little eyes twinkled I will always Remeber. I thank God for the privalige to get to know you and your family.
