Jessie Louise Taylor Hartsock, 88, of Bristol, TN went to be with her Lord on October 6, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 19, 1929, only child of Jessie Samuel and Buena V. Williams Taylor. Louise was a lifelong resident of Bristol and spent most of her adult years working in and managing retail shops such as The Big Ben Store, Nettie Lee Shoes and The Fashion Shop. She was a member of North Bristol Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by first husband Johnny Crowe and second husband Mack Hartsock.
Louise is survived by only daughter Sonja Crowe Cox and son-in-law Steve Cox, granddaughter Kristen Cox Roman and husband Carlos, and grandson Derrick Wayne Cox and wife Lindsey Nixon Cox. She is also survived by Kelly (Jon) Dolinger and Stevan L. Cox. She had 14 great-grandchildren which includes her most "special buddy" Ashlyn, and one great-great granddaughter. She also had a special place in her heart for life-long friend James Rhymer.
Many special thanks go to her long-time physician and friend Dr. David Thompson; Bristol Regional Hospital chaplain Steve Playl, ICU4 nurses, 2-West nurses including Robin, Stephanie and Rex, Patient Care Techs including Suzette and Meta and most special "angel" Sarah Nettles.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Garland officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery.
