Martha Ann Biggs, age 79, of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Abingdon Health and Rehab. She was born December 8, 1938 a daughter of the late Harvey and Bertha Nash Phillips, and she lived all of her life in the Bristol area. Mrs. Biggs was a member of New Grace Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Biggs. She is survived by her loving children, Robert Biggs and wife Donna, Charles Biggs and wife LaVonda; grandchildren, Joshua Biggs and wife Amanda, Kellie Biggs and fiancé Steven Holden, Carson Biggs, and Mary Beth Biggs; siblings, Hal Phillips, David Phillips, Betty Erwin, and Faye Thacker; aunts, Judy Shepherd and Virginia Camper; uncle, Giles Nash; several nieces and nephews who called her “Nannie”.
The funeral service will be held 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 5, 2018 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Biggs officiating assisted by Pastor Thomas Thacker and Pastor Sam Haynes. The burial will be 10:00 am Friday in Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Thacker officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Biggs, Carson Biggs, Andrew Erwin, Jonathan Stevens, Jack Necessary, and Jeff Quales. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Erwin, Johnny Biggs, and Dr. Jonathan Dixon. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 to 5:45 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of Robert Biggs, 80 Winding Way, Bristol, VA.
