Eddie K. Marshall, age 79, of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his home. He was born August 16, 1938 in Dickenson County, Va., a son of the late Walter and Esta Dingus Marshall.
Eddie lived most of his life in the Bluff City area. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Okinawa. Eddie worked 20 years at Burlington Industries and retired from Zenith Fuel Systems after 22 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years and 4 months, Tommie Jean Marshall; his infant son; two brothers, Olis and Ralph Marshall; and three sisters, Mavis Evigene Marshall, Zillah Gillenwater and Arlene Cowden.
He is survived by his son, Tracy Marshall and wife Susan; grandchildren, Kayla Talley and husband Dustin, and Kevin Marshall; great grandchildren, Landyn Talley, Abygail Talley and Blake Marshall; and special cousins, Bob and Bernice Marshall.
The funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Don Stacey officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. prior to the service. The interment will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard.
