Christopher Wesley Brooks, age 21, of Blountville, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 7, 2018 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born September 17, 1996 in Kingsport, Tenn. Christopher was an employee of Borla Performance in Erwin, Tenn. and a volunteer firefighter for the Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Department. He attended Indian Springs Baptist Church, Hill Road Campus. Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Chad Wesley Brooks; grandmother, June Almaroad Eaton; and grandfather, Ronnie G. Brooks.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Ann Walters Brooks; children, Cooper, Sadie and Kaitleigh Grace; his mother, Denise Eaton Brooks; twin brother, Chad Allen Brooks; grandfather, Gene Eaton and wife Janice; grandmother, Shirley Brooks; uncle, Melvin Eaton and wife Laura; aunt, Teresa Stevens and husband David; cousins, Lucas and Olivia; mother-in-law, Beth Frye and husband Ernie; father-in-law, Jason Walters and wife Andrea; grandparents-in-law, Peggy Ramsey, Ron and Suella Walters; brother and sisters-in-law, Martin Frye, Britanie Walden, Megan Frye and Ashley Walters.
A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Higher Ground Baptist Church, 1625 Lynn Garden Dr, Kingsport, TN, with Pastor Ronnie Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service. At Christopher’s request those attending are asked to please wear Tennessee Orange. The interment will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at New Hope Cemetery. A procession of family and friends will leave Weaver Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 551, Blountville, TN 37617.
