Clara Evelyn Phipps Poole, age 84, of Hendersonville, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hendersonville Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1931 in Bristol, Va., a daughter of the late James Herbert and Eugene Ryan Phipps. Evelyn was a 1950 graduate of Tennessee High School. Read >
Our precious mother, sister, aunt and friend; Margaret Hawk Haga, age 88, departed this world on Saturday, October 3, 2015 and entered into the gates of glory to be greeted by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband James Haga, parents, and a host of other family and friends. Read >
Irene Poston Booher, age 72, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born January 28, 1943 in Saltville, VA., a daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle Chapman Poston. Irene lived most of her life in Bristol area and was a caregiver to family and friends. She was a member of Key Street Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Arnold. Read >
As a faithful Servant of the Lord, Dr. Andrew E. Spence, Jr., went to his heavenly home on October 1, 2015 at age 90. He was a lifelong minister of the Gospel and traveled worldwide proclaiming the Good News. He was a devoted spouse, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dedicated friend. His desire was that all would come to know the "Glory of God" and would commit their lives to trusting and serving Him. Read >
Charles S. “Bud” Malone, Jr., age 73, of Bluff City, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1942 in Bristol, Va., a son of the late Charles S. Malone Sr. and Anna Marie Fraley Malone. Bud was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. He retired from Life of Georgia Insurance Company. Bud was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He was a volunteer fireman for the Avoca Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Zolicoffer Masonic Lodge #444. Read >
