Conley Preston Rose, age 77, of Bristol, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born October 9, 1937 in Mendota, VA, a son of the late Scott and Clora Osborne Rose. Mr. Rose resided most of his life in the Bristol area. He was a Produce Manager for Food City and retired after 35 years of service. Mr. Rose was a member of First Christian Church of Bluff City. Susan Ann Oliver, age 65, of Bristol, TN passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born October 30, 1949 in Bristol, VA a daughter of the late Sam and Betty Lee Bowers Oliver, and she lived all of her life in the Bristol area. She was a retired manager of Family Dollar on West State, and was an avid bowler. Read >
Barbara Ann Sink Shifflett, age 72, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born on October 28, 1942 in Vivian, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Claude Burlin and Mary Martin Sink. Barbara lived in the Bristol area most of her life. She had retired as a supervisor with Shoney’s Restaurants and attended State Street Church of Christ. Read >
Louis Wayne Grubbs, age 78, of Dandridge, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Knoxville, TN. He was born April 1, 1936 in Bristol, TN, a son of the late William E. “Edd” and Effa Mae Nelson Grubbs. He was a native of Bristol, TN and made his home in California. Louis served in the U.S. Navy and was self-employed as a Tax Accountant. Read >
Michael P. “Mickey” Scott, age 69, of Bristol, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015 at his home. He was born March 12, 1945 in Coeburn, VA, a son of the late Onie and Alcie Scott. Mr. Scott lived in the Bristol area most of his life and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He served in the Army National Guard of TN. Mickey was a retired Engineer from Sprint with 36 years of service.
